The Thread

Hi, I'm gnu here.

I wasn't always gnu, in fact, there used to be a thread here in which I axed people to not come in, but they did anywayz. scream

But I was having some issues with my account here due to the fact we were sorting out the new site and something in my account got corrupted...or the new site is smart and recognizes bad character when it sees it...

Anywayz, Eddie zapped my old account and this is a gnu one that has not caught on to my lack of worthiness yet and so far is very excepting of my presence here.

To all of you who poasted on the other thread, my apologies for your fine ruminations being erased, it appears that all my threads went with my old account.

So yeah, I'm gnu here.

Yikes! You've wiped my walnuts .......

Still, 'ere's summat to do wiv all them empty beer bottles.....

And BTW, I always gnu you wuz corrupted anyways.

You're right about the bottle-blowin' MJ impersonists, but unfortunately wrong about the whisky.  If ya get here, I'll find you some Dalwhinnie, that'll change your mind.

That said, when I could still allow myself anything more than a weeny tot of the stuff, I'd take Irish anyday - Bushmills Single Malt if ya please.

Siddie City

Mind you, that McKerrosene's looks interesting .....

Beetles kill off George Harrison's tree.......

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-28417...

"A pine tree planted in 2004 in memory of former Beatle George Harrison in a Los Angeles park has died after being infested by beetles.

The sapling was planted in the city's Griffith Park near the observatory.

Harrison, who died in 2001, spent his final days in LA and was a keen gardener.

Council officer Tom LaBonge told the LA Times the memorial had grown to more than 10 feet tall in 2013, but the tree beetle attack had overwhelmed it.

A new tree will be planted at a date yet to be decided.

A small plaque at the base of the tree read: "In memory of a great humanitarian who touched the world as an artist, a musician and a gardener."

It also quotes the guitarist and singer-songwriter himself: "For the forests to be green, each tree must be green."

Last year, a blue plaque was unveiled in London for Harrison and fellow Beatle, John Lennon.

The commemoration was at 94 Baker Street, which was the site of the now dissolved Apple Boutique clothing store.

It was owned in the 1960s by Apple Corps Ltd, a company formed by the band."
