I wrote the original version of this song about 5 years ago and recorded a very sparse version at that time, after having read the original book <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Where The Red Fern Grows</span> to my two young children. <br><br>I always felt the song had more potential and this year I was very keen on applying the recording and production knowledge I had acquired to the task.
